M.Sc Biochemistry Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  • It aims to inculcate fundamental knowledge of concepts and principles in Biochemistry with adequate foundations to fundamental science subjects like Chemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and recombinant DNA technology
  • It aims to train, encourage, and promote the students to explore biochemistry.
  • Train the students in order to make them meticulous, insightful, creative in academics, and capable of applying the basic concepts to deliver the translational necessities, and to acquire communicative, leadership and organization skills through the extracurricular activities and events.
  • To train and assist the graduates choose lucrative career options, in corporate organizations, industries, academic research-laboratories, and government organizations through career building activities by the ‘placement cell’.

M.Sc Biochemistry Program Outcomes (POs)

  • Have fundamental knowledge of Biochemistry both in basic and applied areas.
  • Develop self-critical abilities to apply Biochemistry knowledge for problem solving at multiple levels.
  • Develop the ability to apply the basic tenets of logic and science to thoughts, actions and interventions
  • Have the ability to develop hypothesis and ability to analyze the research data and interpret it.
  • Demonstrate the ability to present scientific outcomes and competency in practical works.

M.Sc Biochemistry Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

  • Acquire a strong holding on the fundamentals of Structural basis for Biochemistry and have fundamental appreciation of thermodynamic laws and energy concepts in Biological systems.
  • Have an overall understanding of Enzymology, metabolism, analytical techniques, and Immunology.
  • Competency in doing biochemical assays, biocalculations, interpreting the results.
  • Display a holistic understanding of the role Biochemistry as a basis for solving problems in different facets of biological sciences.
  • Demonstrate the capability to have analytical thinking , forming research hypothesis , design of experiments and interpretation of results
  • Demonstrate competency in research methodology, research project, present research findings of the project work in conferences.
