DAYANANDA SAGAR UNIVERSITY
Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), a private university established in 2014, is home to a first of its kind innovation-centered law school in the heart of India’s Silicon City, Bengaluru. The University builds on the rich legacy of the Dayananda Sagar Institution (DSI) which was founded in the 1960s. DSI currently houses 18,000 students across several disciplines. Located in Bangalore, the School of Law draws from not only the vast interdisciplinary resources of the University but also those of the city itself, affording students incomparable industry exposure. Our students will complete their legal training fully equipped to step into their roles as lawyers of the new age.

Dayananda Sagar School of Law, Dayananda Sagar University is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi. The Dayananda Sagar School of Law offers two five-year's integrated undergraduate courses in law, viz., B.A. LL. B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL. B. (Hons.), as well as 3-years LLB course.
Dayananda Sagar University’s, School of Law also offers Ph.D programme and plans to commence LL.M from academic year 2025.
The School of Law’s new-age curriculum draws on DSU’s legacy in innovation and is rooted in the belief that education needs to incorporate a multitude of skill sets and perspectives to be relevant in the modern world. With our dynamic faculty, courses in emerging subject areas like STS (Science and Technology Studies) and Law and Technology, the interdisciplinary curriculum at DSU School of Law will transform the way in which you understand the law and engage with the world.
CONCEPT NOTE
The International Conference “Global Legal Challenges in the Transforming Society” aims to explore the evolving legal landscape in response to rapid societal transformations driven by technological advancements, environmental concerns, and shifting human rights perspectives. This event will serve as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss and analyze the complex legal challenges emerging from these changes. The conference will cover a broad range of themes, including the intersection of law and technology, addressing issues such as intellectual property rights, cybersecurity, digital data protection, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal profession. Additionally, it will delve into critical human rights issues like asylum and migration, human trafficking, reproductive rights, disability rights, and gender identity. Environmental law and policy will also be a focal point, with discussions on climate change, sustainable development, energy law, biodiversity protection, and the role of technology in environmental regulation. The conference will further examine legal concerns in the medical field, including mental health laws, tort liability, medical negligence, informed consent, and euthanasia. Lastly, the implications of artificial intelligence on data privacy, national security, consent mechanisms, and the right to be forgotten will be explored, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of the global legal challenges in today's rapidly transforming society.
