Dr. Anantha Krishna H T
Assistant Professor
He graduated from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, with a Ph.D degree in Biochemistry in 2018. His doctoral thesis research work was on the “Isolation of anti-thrombotic secondary metabolites from the endophytic fungi of Datura metel and Cassia fistula”. Dr Anantha specializes in the purification, structural characterization and functional studies of small molecules from natural products. He also has experience in research on the biosynthesis of lipids in Arabidopsis thaliana. Dr Anantha Krishna worked on the molecular therapeutic strategy to treat sickle cell anemia as part of his post-doctoral research at St. John’s Research Institute, Bangalore. Dr Anantha also did his post-doctoral research on the development of Optic fiber based Bio-sensors at the department of Instrumentation and Applied Physics, IISc, Bangalore. He also worked as a Research and Development Scientist in the industry for one year at Samarth Life Sciences Private Limited, where he worked on the development of Biosimilar proteins and neutraceuticals. Dr. Anantha has experience in working as a Research Associate at the Covid19 diagnostic testing facility, Centre for Infectious Diseases Research (CIDR), IISc. Dr. Anantha has more than three years of teaching experience. He has six publications. He has presented his research work at National and International Conferences.
