The Department of Aerospace engineering organized a Guest Lecture on Introduction to Aerospace Product Support and Technical Publication on November 29th, 2021 by Krishna Kumar Rajamoni, Collins Aerospace. It focused on unique technical aspects of the aircraft industry covering all domains. A special thanks to Prof. Sharat Kumar, who initiated this talk which gave insights on industrial aspects which will be useful for students during placements. The resource person highlighted technical publications, which are technical information for the safety of aircraft in service and the consequences of inadequate maintenance. This talk aimed to provide a few perspectives on the product cycle and aftermarket support structure, as well as various aircraft systems. The role of standards in tech pubs was briefly explained along with the document architecture and web interface.
