Scope and Job Opportunities:
With the growing demand of Biotechnology in different fields (Agriculture, Animal and Human health Care, Medicine, Diagnostics, Industry etc.), the outgoing students will be preferred for suitable opportunities in different interdisciplinary areas. The program is intended to give flexible career options to students who can be competent to acquire relevant positions in production, R&D, QA/QC, Diagnostic, regulatory affairs, Clinical research, Scientific or technical writing in relevant biotechnology companies in areas of health care (medical), agriculture, food industry companies, pharmaceutical and nutraceuticals.
Students will be competent to take up doctoral studies in premium research institutions both in India and abroad. The program will help the students to appear for National and State Level Exams (CSIR-NET, ICMR/ICAR NET, GATE and SET etc) making them eligible for JRF and Lectureship. The first rank holder of the 2 years program will specifically be eligible to apply for DST INSPIRE (Innovation in Scientific Pursuit for Inspired Research) Fellowship for Doctoral Programmes in Science and Tech by Department of Science and Technology -Govt. of India.
