Senior Assistant Professor
Dr. V. Karuppuchamy is a dedicated academician, researcher, and mentor in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, with nearly 13 years of teaching experience across reputed engineering institutions in India. He is currently serving as a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University. His expertise lies in Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, Data Science, Embedded Systems, and Smart Healthcare Applications.
He completed his Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, with research focused on IoT and Machine Learning-based Heart Failure Prediction. His doctoral work contributes to intelligent healthcare monitoring systems using IoMT and advanced AI models. He also holds M.E.(CSE) and B.E. (CSE) degrees from affiliated with Anna University.
He has an active and impactful research profile, with publications in SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals, including publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. His research interests include IoMT, explainable AI (XAI), Federated Learning, Deep neural networks, and intelligent disease prediction systems. He has also contributed to book chapters and authored academic books in areas such as IoT, Big Data Analytics, Mobile Application Development, and Design & Analysis of Algorithms.
He has received two patents. His scholarly contributions are reflected through journal publications, conference presentations, reviewer responsibilities, and citations in the research community.
As an educator, he has handled courses such as Internet of Things, Python Programming, Deep Learning, Java Programming, Computer Networks, and Problem Solving, consistently achieving excellent student pass percentages. He is also known for conducting hands-on IoT workshops, faculty development programs, guest lectures, and Python training sessions for students and faculty members.
His technical proficiency includes Arduino, NodeMCU, ESP32/ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, Python, Java, C, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ThingSpeak, Blynk, and Arduino Cloud. He is a Life Member of ISTE and continues to contribute to academia through innovative teaching, student mentorship, interdisciplinary research, and smart system development.
