Assistant Professor

Ms. Sneha Nandi is Computer Science researcher and academician specializing in Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, Machine Learning, and AI-driven intelligent systems. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, where she is actively involved in teaching, research, and academic administration for undergraduate programs.

She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi where she developed a strong foundation in Machine Learning, Web Development, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, AI Agents, and Intelligent Systems. She also earned her B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Techno India University, West Bengal.

Her research interests include Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, AI Agents, Machine Learning, and Information Retrieval. She has worked on developing intelligent applications using LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI-driven information systems, and computer vision, with a focus on building practical and impactful AI solutions. As part of her recent work, she developed an Emotion-Aware Mental Health Support System that leverages Large Language Models, RAG, and transformer-based models to generate empathetic and context-aware responses for mental health support and RetailIntel, an LLM-driven federated analytics system that integrates structured and unstructured data to generate intelligent business insights through natural language queries.

As an educator, she enjoys guiding students in their academic and professional growth. She believes in combining strong theoretical foundations with practical learning to prepare students for real-world challenges.

Sneha Nandi is Gate qualified, and she regularly participates in faculty development programs, workshops, and outreach activities. She is particularly interested in advancing research in Large Language Models, Agentic AI, and intelligent systems that enhance human-computer interaction through advanced language understanding and reasoning.
