Mr. Shashank Shekhar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at Dayananda Sagar University and a PhD Scholar at National Institute of Technology Mizoram. His research interests include Cybersecurity, Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), Federated Learning, Network Security, Deep Learning, and Intelligent Intrusion Detection Systems.
He holds an M.Tech in Data Science and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology Mizoram. His research work focuses on the development of secure, privacy-preserving, and interpretable AI-driven frameworks for modern communication networks, cyber-physical systems, and intelligent distributed environments.
Mr. Shekhar’s academic and research contributions are centered on AI-based cyberattack detection, intelligent security architectures, and advanced threat analysis for emerging technologies, particularly in 5G and distributed network ecosystems. His areas of specialization include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Explainable AI, Privacy-Preserving AI, Federated Learning, and Network Traffic Analysis.
At Dayananda Sagar University, he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in subjects such as Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Power BI, and Discrete Mathematics and Graph Theory. He is committed to fostering academic excellence, research-driven learning, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration among students.
His technical expertise encompasses Python, SQL, C++, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Power BI, ns-3 Simulator, and LaTeX. He also has strong proficiency in cybersecurity tools, intelligent data analytics, AI model development, and network security analysis.
Mr. Shekhar has presented research papers at various international conferences in the fields of cybersecurity, intelligent systems, and AI-driven security applications. His professional interests are directed toward advancing ethical AI practices, developing intelligent and secure computing solutions, and contributing to impactful research addressing real-world cybersecurity challenges.
