Assistant Professor
Ms. Sayeli Dey is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) at Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), Bengaluru. She holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) from National Institute of Technology, Agartala (2025) and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from Tripura Institute of Technology (2023).
A passionate academician and emerging researcher, Ms. Sayeli Dey has a keen interest in deepfake detection in medical imaging, ethical hacking, image processing, and secure data communication. Her research contribution includes a publication titled “Enhancing object recognition: a comprehensive analysis of CNN-based deep learning models considering lighting conditions and perspectives” reflecting her focus on leveraging deep learning for robust visual recognition under diverse real-world conditions. Her teaching interests span across Data Structures, Ethical Hacking, Data Hiding, Digital Logic Design, and Computer Networks. She is especially inclined towards introducing practical perspectives in cybersecurity through hands-on approaches, encouraging students to explore secure system design and digital forensics.
Despite being at the early stage of her academic career, she is highly motivated to contribute to the academic. Ms. Sayeli Dey looks forward to developing her career in cybersecurity education, interdisciplinary research, and academic collaboration, with an emphasis on AI-driven healthcare security applications.
