Mr. Sandipan Laha
Assistant Professor
Mr. Sandipan Laha is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He completed his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Information Technology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Information Technology through Lateral Entry after completing a Diploma in Engineering.
His areas of interest include Wireless Communications, 5G/6G Networks, Massive MIMO Systems, Hybrid Beamforming, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Database Management Systems and Data Analytics.
His research focuses on hybrid beamforming architectures for mmWave massive MIMO systems. His M.E. research work proposed the E-MO-HBF (Extended Manifold Optimization Hybrid Beamforming) framework, which integrates momentum-assisted manifold optimization, adaptive step-size control, and channel-aware initialization techniques to improve spectral efficiency and convergence performance in next-generation wireless communication systems.
He has experience in JAVA, Python, DSA, Database Management System, Machine Learning, SQL, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and data analytics technologies. His work includes the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of advanced communication algorithms, machine learning models, and data-driven solutions.
His notable project work includes Real Estate Price Prediction, a machine learning-based regression model for Bangalore house price prediction with feature engineering and a Flask-based web application for interactive prediction; and a Logistics and Transportation Dashboard developed using Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and SQL, featuring ETL pipelines, KPI reporting, and query optimization for business analytics.
He is passionate about teaching, research, and innovation, and is committed to creating an engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and project-based learning.
