Assistant Professor

Md Saba Karim is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science (Data Science) at Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), Bangalore. He is post graduate in Data Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur and holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering Punjab.

His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Explainable AI (XAI). His current research focuses on low-resource Neural Machine Translation for Indian languages, with an emphasis on Khortha-to-English translation using deep learning techniques. He has also worked on AI-based image classification, medical image analysis, resume screening systems, and intelligent predictive analytics.

As an educator, he is committed to fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills by combining strong theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on learning. He encourages students to explore emerging technologies through research-driven projects and real-world applications, preparing them for careers in artificial intelligence and data science.
