Aero Model Exhibition by Team Arcis at Dayananda Sagar University
About Team Arcis:
Team Arcis is the official aero design team of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. A group of 29 budding engineers of DSU and also participants of annual SAE Aero Design Challenge held in the USA.
Team Arcis was founded in 2012 by Ankit Jain, Ribhu Taneja and Anuj Sharma. Currently, Captain Neeraj G Y heads the team. The team members are selected via written exam and interview that tests student's passion and dedication to design and develop an aircraft model.
AnSys, Dassault Solidworks, GKN Aerospace, Poly-Tech industries, Info Laser Tech and JMC are the monetary and technology sponsorers for the team.

Aero Model Exhibition:
This year in March 2018, the team demonstrated all their aircraft models in the Dayananda Sagar University Campus, Kumarswamy layout under the guidance of Principal of DSCE - Dr. C P S Prakash and under the captaincy of Neeraj GY, Chandu Prasad and Prem Kumar B.
The team showcased more than 10 aero models that were designed, built and tested in-house by team arcis - engineering students of DSU. So, as to unveil their ideas, innovation, encourage young minds and fellow students about aircraft modeling.
The team arcis will be participating in international annual aero design challenge held in California, US by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). In which our students will design, build and fly a RC (Radio Controlled) aircraft subject to rules set by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). The competition is sponsored by aviation giants Boeing and Lockheed Martin, attracts teams from all over the world ever since its inception in 1986. Seventy five teams from across the world compete in the competition each year.
Our engineering department HODs, Principal, Vice Chairman and other leadership team of Dayananda Sagar University witnessed the exhibition to congratulate and encourage our Team Arcis for their current and future innovations.
