Ms. Nehela Nasrin

Assistant Professor

Ms. Nehela Nasrin is an academician and researcher in Computer Science and Engineering with expertise in Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI), Deep and Neural Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, where she is actively engaged in teaching, research, student mentoring, and academic activities for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

She holds a Master of Technology (M. Tech.) in Information Technology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, where her postgraduate research focused on trustworthy AI, generative image synthesis, geometry-aware image transformation, diffusion models, and Large Language Model (LLM)-based intelligent systems. Her research addressed challenges in explainable AI-assisted content generation by integrating semantic understanding, prompt intelligence, and interpretable image transformation techniques for next-generation intelligent systems. She also earned her Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Aliah University, Kolkata, building a strong academic foundation in computer science, software engineering, and intelligent computing.

Prior to joining Dayananda Sagar University, Ms. Nehela Nasrin served as a Teaching Assistant at Jadavpur University, where she actively contributed to the teaching and mentoring of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) students. Her responsibilities included conducting laboratory sessions, assisting faculty in lectures, mentoring student projects, evaluating assignments, and supporting various academic and research activities. This experience strengthened her commitment to outcome-based education, collaborative learning, and research-oriented teaching methodologies.

Her current research focuses on Generative Artificial Intelligence, Deep & Neural Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Diffusion Models, Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), and AI-driven Image Generation. She is particularly interested in developing intelligent and explainable AI systems that combine semantic understanding, multimodal learning, and human-centric artificial intelligence to solve real-world problems. Her ongoing research aims to bridge advanced AI technologies with practical engineering applications through innovative and interdisciplinary research.

With a strong academic background and growing research experience, Ms. Nehela Nasrin actively participates in research collaborations, curriculum development, and emerging AI technologies. She is committed to advancing high-impact research in intelligent computing while fostering innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, academic excellence, and the development of responsible, explainable, and trustworthy AI solutions.
