Assisstant Professor, School of Computer Applications
Neha Gupta is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Applications, where she is dedicated to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation. She completed her Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Amity University (2023–2025), after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Kaziranga University.
With a strong academic foundation and diverse hands-on experience, she specializes in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering. She is proficient in a variety of technologies including Java, Python, HTML, CSS, PHP, Django, MySQL, Google Colab, and various data visualization tools.
Before entering academia, she worked as a Data Science Intern at EISystems Technologies, contributing to significant projects such as an Area-Wise Housing Price Prediction System and an Intrusion Detection System powered by machine learning algorithms. She also developed real-world applications including a Language Translator using Recurrent Neural Networks and an AI-powered Chabot to address challenges in the E-Commerce sector.
Earlier in her career, she served as a Web Development Intern at CSIR India, where she designed and implemented an Online Job Card Portal for CSIR NEIST, Assam, streamlining internal maintenance operations.
Alongside her technical expertise, she possesses strong skills in creativity, innovation, leadership, communication, adaptability, and critical thinking. She is passionate about solving real-world problems through technology and is committed to mentoring students, advancing research, and contributing to meaningful, tech-driven societal solutions.
