Prof. Natarajan Venkateswaran has a long and rich experience of over 31 years in Industrial R&D and has worked in various organizations in India and abroad including Computer Modelling Group Ltd. (Calgary, Canada), Clearstone Engineering (Calgary, Canada), CEAT Tyres of India Ltd. (Mumbai), GE R&D Centre (Bangalore) and Reliance Industries Ltd. R&D Centre (Navi Mumbai).
Prof. Natarajan Venkateswaran has a wide range of work experience in areas of computational modelling, simulation, web/windows-based software development, AI & ML applications in R&D, business process automation, digitalization, digital transformation and Generative AI technologies besides IP & R&D Planning. His application areas through various work-related projects include corrosion modelling of subsea pipelines, design, build and commissioning of PEM fuel cell test facility, development of advanced carbon materials, modelling polymers, petroleum reservoir simulation, modelling coal-bed methane, subsidence analysis, manufacturing process trouble shooting & optimization, building business applications for IP management and R&D Planning. He was the head of AI-CSE vertical in Reliance R&D leading the team on applying AI & ML based methods for various applications in Polymers, Biology, Carbon Materials and IP Analysis. He has several reputed journal publications and conference presentations to his credit.
Prof. Natarajan Venkateswaran holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Calgary in Calgary, Canada (1993). His doctoral dissertation was on thermodynamics and nucleation kinetics of gas hydrates. He has completed his post-graduation with a M.E. degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1988. Prof. Natarajan graduated from College of Technology, Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1986, with a B.Tech (gold medallist) Chemical Engineering degree.
