Mr. Mohammed Salman M is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics (thesis submitted) from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), specializing in Mathematical Biology. His research focuses on mathematical modeling and deep learning frameworks for brain tumor prognosis, diagnosis, and infectious disease dynamics. He served as an Assistant Professor (Contract) and Teaching-cum-Research Assistant at VIT, where he contributed to interdisciplinary projects funded by DST-FIST, ICMR, and DST-SERB. He has taught courses such as Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Calculus, Big Data Analytics, MATLAB, Python, Hadoop and R Programming for engineering and data science programs.

His research has been published in reputed journals, including IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement. His work integrates Deep Learning techniques with mathematical modelling to address challenges in healthcare and computational biology. He holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Mathematics from Thiruvalluvar University and a B.Ed. in Mathematics from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. His academic interests include computational mathematics, data-driven modelling, and quantum computing.
