Professor and Chairperson

Dr. Venkataramanan N.S. obtained his M.Sc and Ph.D from School of Chemistry, Madurai Kamaraj University in 1999 and 2005 respectively. He is presently working as an Associate Professor of Chemistry, at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Ramco Institute of Technology and SASTRA Deemed University. He did his post-doctoral work in Academia Sinica, Taiwan, Institute of Materials Research, Japan, and California State University, USA. He filled 2 patents, has authored 3 book chapters, and published more than 70 research articles in reputed SCI/WOS-indexed Journals. He has visited, the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan as a visiting researcher twice.

Research Interests:
Venkataramanan’s main areas of research interest are the design of new functional materials for use in gas storage, drug delivery, sensors, catalysis, and analysis of weak bonding using electronic structure theory calculations.
