Associate Professor and Chairperson

 

Dr. Rajesh T.M. completed his Ph.D. in January 2017 from the Dept. of CS&E, Jain University, Bengaluru. He carried out his research in the area of forensic crime detection in the digital image processing and pattern recognition domains.

He pursued his M. Tech. in 2012 from the Dept. of CS&E, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, VTU, Bengaluru. He did his BE in 2010 from the Dept. of CS&E, Bapuji Institute of Engineering & Technology, VTU, Davanagere, and is currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of CS&E, SoE, DSU.

Experience:

• Dr. Rajesh T.M. has a total of 10+ years of experience in industry, research, and academic domains.
• He has two years of industrial experience at IGATE Global Solutions Ltd., Bangalore. In IGATE, he worked as a software engineer for production support for a client (RTBA and Westpac Bank of Australia).
• He has one year of research experience as a research associate at DSCE. As a research associate, he has worked in the document image processing domain.
• 10+ years of teaching experience at SoE, DSU

Research, Patents & Publications

• Dr. Rajesh T.M has successfully guided 3 Ph. D scholars and he is currently guiding 6 Ph. D research scholars in DIP, PR, CV & ML domains.
• His Publications towards his research work includes –
• Several Indian patents have been published in the DIP, PR, ML, IoT, and computer vision domains.
• Authored three textbooks
• Multilingual signature identification and verification in the forgery domain.
• Edited two books of ICICC conference proceedings, "Data Engineering and Intelligent Computing" and "Computer Communication, Networking, and IoT," both published in the LNNS series of Springer and indexed in SCOPUS.
• Published 4 book chapters, 21 international journals, 29 international conference publications, and 2 national conference papers. Out of which 35 publications are indexed in SCOPUS and 3 publications are indexed in SCI.

Research Interest:

His area of interest in research includes Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Video Analytics, Computer Vision Data Analytics and IoT.
