Dr. Prashantha Kumar H G is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University. He was a recipient of National Post-doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) from Department of Science and Technology – Science Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB) at IIT Madras. He was executed several funded research projects as principal investigator to develop the indigenous technologies including LASER related technologies for Chandrayana-2 mission (ISRO) and Digitally Twinned Spacecraft (on-going) supported by Dassault Systems. His research interests include functional thin-films sensors for space re-entry vehicles, atomic scale materials analysis and qualifications for space, 1D, 2D Materials processing for wide range of space structural and functional applications, Power electronics, Wide-Band Gap (WBG) Materials for efficient space crafts, LASER tuning and processing for space applications. Digital Twin and Satellite Technologies, orbital payload design and experiments. He has several international research collaborations at USA and UK to execute the research projects strategically. In addition, He is investigating the real time social challenges to cater world class solutions leads to several start-ups, Made in India products and entrepreneurships.
