Dr. Prakruti Acharya is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Dayananda Sagar University. She earned her Ph.D. from Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore, in 2023. Her doctoral research focused on fabricating a scaffold for bone regeneration.
Following her Ph.D., Dr. Acharya was given the pooutunity to work as a post doctoral researcher at University of Galway, Ireland. and pursued her research at the Biomedical engineering Unit, Ireland (2023–2024). Her work involved understanding the osteoporosis patterns in post-menopausal women and the activity of Sclerostin antibody using a feedback mechanism.
Post that Dr. Acharya worked as a Scientific Project manager at Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR). Managed FNDR’s diverse drug discovery pipeline across infectious diseases, advancing programs from early discovery to lead optimization in tuberculosis, malaria, dengue, and COVID-19. Managing 15+ multidisciplinary projects, She also coordinated in vitro, pharmacokinetics, and in vivo studies while engaging with global clients to deliver key milestones on time. Additionally, she was also a part of organization of FNDR’s National Conference, fostering collaborations with leading biotech organizations
Dr. Acharya has 7 research articles, and 6 book chapters in internationally peer-reviewed journals.
Her research integrates sustainability and biomedical innovation, addressing global challenges through interdisciplinary biochemical approaches.

Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore
M.Sc. in Microbiology from Jain University, Bangalore
