Dr. Feroza Owaice
Assistant Professor
Dr. Feroza Owaice is a dedicated Microbiologist and passionate educator with over five years of experience in clinical microbiology, laboratory management, and undergraduate instruction. She excels at promoting scientific literacy, advancing laboratory standards, and delivering evidence-based education. Dr. Owaice is committed to applying her analytical, teaching, and research skills in innovative academic and scientific settings.
From August 2019 to October 2023, Dr. Feroza served as a Microbiology Tutor at Dr. Qadris College, Srinagar, J&K, where she delivered lectures, supervised undergraduate laboratory sessions, and guided students in research projects and scientific writing. She also played a key role in conducting assessments and organizing academic workshops to support student development. Earlier, from August 2018 to May 2019, she worked as a Lab Technician at Alama Albani Charitable Medical Care, Srinagar, where she conducted microbiological analyses of clinical and environmental samples, performed culturing, isolation, and identification of microorganisms, maintained laboratory protocols, trained interns, and prepared analytical reports. Her research experience includes a dissertation titled “Prevalence of Candida species in clinical isolates from a tertiary care hospital” (Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, 2017–2018), along with a project on “Uropathogenic Profiles and Antibiotic Resistance in Immunocompromised Patients”.
