Dr. Bhavana Rikhari
Assistant Professor
Dr. Bhavana Rikhari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Dayananda Sagar University. Dr. Bhavana Rikhari obtained her doctorate degree from the Department of Chemistry with a Centenary Fellowship from the College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, India. She has received M.Sc. degree in organic chemistry from Christ University, Bangalore.
She has 3 years 10 months research experience as a post-doctoral fellow at National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore, India. Her research experience focuses on the development of orthopaedic-based material for bio-medical applications. She has a year of international research exposure during the course of her Ph.D work. as a Research Associate at Research Institute of Advanced Materials (RIAM), School of Materials Science and Engineering, Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea. She has two book chapters and six research publications to her credit.
Her research interests include biomaterials corrosion (Ti and its alloys), prevention of metal corrosion using inhibitors, Surface Modification of metals & their alloys, Anodization of alloys for aerospace applications.
