Mr. Debjit Pahari

Assistant Professor

Mr. Debjit Pahari is a dedicated academician and researcher in Computer Science and Engineering, possessing a strong foundation in Blockchain Technology, Cyber Security, Privacy and Secure Mechanisms, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, having joined in July,2026. In this role, he is actively engaged in advancing the academic curriculum, driving innovative research initiatives, and providing comprehensive mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

His academic journey is rooted in a robust educational background. He earned his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Information Technology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, building upon the strong technical groundwork laid during his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, from which he graduated in 2024. During his postgraduate studies, his thesis research introduced a highly novel architecture focused on enhancing the privacy of health data through an integrated approach of the split-horizon principle and data minimization. This critical work successfully mitigated complex vulnerabilities in electronic health records by leveraging decentralized Hyperledger Fabric environments, strict Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), and localized edge-based AI processing to enforce a mathematically secure zero-trust baseline.

Prior to his current tenure at Dayananda Sagar University, Mr. Pahari served with distinction as a Teaching Assistant at Jadavpur University. During this period, he was deeply involved in academic instruction and hands-on mentoring, guiding Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) students through rigorous laboratory environments and theory classes. His instructional expertise spans several critical domains of computer science, having actively coordinated and assisted in the Software Engineering Lab, Database Management Systems (DBMS) Lab, Machine Learning, Big Data, and the Advanced Database Lab. This hands-on pedagogical experience has uniquely equipped him to bridge the gap between complex theoretical concepts and practical, industry-relevant applications.

Having recently embarked on his academic career, he is actively planning to pursue a Ph.D. to further deepen his scholarly contributions. His current research interests are expansive, exploring the intricate intersections of enterprise blockchain networks, advanced cybersecurity, privacy-preserving infrastructure, generative AI, and natural language processing. Furthermore, he is highly keen on interdisciplinary, collaborative research and remains actively open to exploring other emerging fields and intelligent computing paradigms that have the potential to solve real-world challenges.

Beyond his rigorous academic and professional pursuits, he maintains a well-rounded profile with a strong passion for continuous personal growth. He is an avid chess player, enjoys creative writing, and has a keen interest in traveling, pursuits that continuously foster his analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving, and broader perspective on diverse ideas.
