Ms. Arifa Sultana Choudhury
Assistant Professor of Law
Ms. Arifa Sultana Choudhury is an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. She holds a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLU Assam), and an LL.M. (Hons.) in Criminal Law from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
With over six years of combined experience in academia and legal practice, she has previously served as an Assistant Professor at ISBR Business School, Bengaluru, where she coordinated the Internship and Recruitment Committee and the Moot Court Committee. She also worked as a Junior Associate at the High Court of Assam, gaining significant exposure to criminal and contractual litigation.
At DSU, she teaches core law subjects such as Criminal Law, Personal Law, and Property Law. She serves as the Faculty Co-ordinator for the Centre for Advanced Criminal Law and Environmental Criminology (CACLEC), the Faculty Co-ordinator of the Moot Court Committee, and the Editor of the School of Law Newsletter. She is actively involved in organizing national and international conferences, workshops, and legal symposiums to foster research and professional development among students. Her research interests include Criminal Law, Gender and Law, Human Rights, and Technology Law and has several publications to her credit in reputed peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes.
