Mr. Amit Adhikari
Assistant Professor
Mr. Amit Adhikari is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE (Data Science) at Dayananda Sagar University. He has completed his M.Tech in Data Computational Science and M.Sc. in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur, along with a B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics from the University of Kalyani. His research lies at the intersection of machine learning and optimization, where he explores how models can be tuned not just for accuracy, but for the harder, more honest trade-offs of complexity, robustness, and cost. Working with hybrid evolutionary algorithms for many-objective optimization, he has focused on building frameworks that don’t just perform well, but perform wisely. This same approach extends to his applied work in time series forecasting and statistical modelling, where he places equal emphasis on understanding why a model works, not just whether it does. As a mentor and educator, he continues to inspire and guide students, while his research continues to influence advancements in machine learning and optimization, shaping the future of these fields through his academic pursuits and practical contributions.
