Robotics is a rapidly growing field that offers immense potential for innovation, especially in addressing real-world challenges. This proposal outlines the plan to start a robotics programme at DSU, guided by Dr. Sandeep Patil from RWTH University. The programme will foster interdisciplinary collaboration and focus on solving pressing issues globally, such as water scarcity, air pollution, and traffic congestion, using advanced technologies.
The Robotics Initiative will be open to students from all engineering streams who are keen on working with robotics and new technologies. Monthly events will be conducted to encourage students to form teams and develop robotic solutions. The Initiative will focus on real-world applications of robotics, with the objective of addressing challenges globally.
