Dr. Arpi Dey
Assistant Professor
Dr. Arpi Dey is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, with over a decade of research experience in endocrinology, phytochemistry, and translational biomedicine. She earned her B.Sc. in Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Botany from Jyoti Nivas College (Autonomous), M.Sc. in Biotechnology from VIT University, and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Her doctoral research focused on isolating and characterizing non-polar phytocomponents of Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera) gel and exploring their therapeutic potential in managing Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) using in-silico, in-vitro, and in-vivo approaches.
Her expertise includes molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, reproductive toxicology, proteomics, pharmacology, and preclinical trials, with strong knowledge of drug development and regulatory compliance. Dr. Dey has published widely, presented her work at international platforms, and received recognition such as the Journal of Endocrinology Travel Award (2017, Lisbon) and multiple best paper awards. Her current research interests focus on the molecular basis of female reproductive health, endocrine regulation, and metabolic co-morbidities, with a special emphasis on nutraceuticals as therapeutic interventions.
