College of Journalism & Mass Communication (CJMC) aims to produce a vibrant group of young professionals, responsive to the growing intellectual needs of the society, the self and the industry. It also promotes ethical practices and universal human values, along with futuristic skills in new media.
Our 4-year BA (Hons) programme exposes you to 8 different career pathways: Journalism, Video Production, Advertising & Marketing Communications, Social Media Marketing, Media Research, English Literature, Psychology and Theatre.
After receiving basic training in all critical modules over the first two years, you will choose 1 of the 3 specialisations and major in that area. A two-month-long internship at the end of the 3rd year – which we will help you find – could actually see you getting job offers! The 4th year will help you round off your theoretical and practical skills with Honours and Research Honours options.
Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent and a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Arts group subjects are preferred
Acquire the core skills of journalism across media - print, radio, TV and digital. Learn how to get, work on and publish ‘stories’; both reports and features. It will be rewarding!
Master the craft of single- and multi-cam video production and editing and top it with that dream short film project of yours. Of course, there’s a lot more!

CJMC’s programmes are delivered by seasoned industry professionals who continue to offer consultancy to media practitioners and leading media companies.
Students are provided with opportunities to undertake internships in leading media organizations. Students have been able to publish significant media works in newspapers and journals.
The course offers interesting options that help students broaden their horizons and thanks to the faculty members, I could do my internship in a reputed media house.
CJMC provided me with an internship at The New Indian Express, ND. I also got a job offer from them and I look forward to joining them!
